Google Philippines recently unveils that the Google Street View is now ready for the Philippines. Tourists or curious lookers can now browse a 360-degree panoramic images and actually see what is in the place before even visiting it.

As per Google, there are 30 areas in Street View Philippines that has been documented and visited by the Street View car and Street View Trekker. The Street View trekker is a backpack device mounted with 15 cameras on top. So far almost any places in Metro Manila are now documented up to Baguio and more places are being added soon.

“This new Street View imagery showcases how countries are embracing online tools such as Google Maps as mediums for preserving their heritage and landscapes,” Ken Lingan, Google Philippines country manager, said.

“We can bring wonder of the Philippines to visitors more easily,” Pacquiao said.

Worrying about privacy? Google only features 360-degree photographs taken on public property and blurs car license plates and people's faces when captured in the images. Also it takes several months to process and upload the data images collected. As per Google you can also request them to remove certain photographs like photos of your children, cars or even houses. You can request a removal of "objectionable" images by hitting the report a problem link located at the Street View page.

How to use Google Street View?

1. Go to https://www.google.com/maps
2. Upon opening the page, drag  and drop the little "pegman" on the street you want to view which located in the bottom right hand corner of the page, as seen in the image below

3. Street View can now be used like browsing a real street, and browse 360-degrees.
