Last week, Marshall surprised and rocked the world when the iconic amplifier brand announced to the public their very first smartphone, the Marshall London. The Marshall London is a beautifully crafted phone that's built for the audiophiles and everyone who loves music.

The Marshall London
Last night at the Le Petit Souffle restaurant at the Century Mall, Digits Trading Corporation brought Mr. Jens Henriksen, the Global Director of Sales for Zoundustries together with probably the lone Marshall London unit in the country.

The Marshall London is a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous phone in person!

It's an innovative device that's has the look and feel of a classic Marshall device. I also loved the choice of materials used by Marshall with the London here. The edges have a nice rubbery grip and the back cover have a very nice leathery texture.

Crazy good looking finish at the back
This smartphone is probably the I've seen that has a mechanical volume wheel and two 3.5 mm female headphone jack where-in you can plug two headphones and another device at the same time.

Wooot! Two jacks and the dedicated Marshall button
The London also packs 2 rocking enhanced volume and bass ACC speakers with the size of 13 mm  x 18 mm. Then the best part of the Marshall London is the DAC (Digital to analog converter) embedded on it as it uses the warm and extremely detailed Wolfson WM8281 chip. That makes your music via headphone out sounds amazingly crisp, warm and detailed naturally (not software enhanced). The audio chip used here also enables the Marshall London play 192 KHz / 24 Bit lossless audio files like FLAC. In general, it will give you a huge boost and audio quality difference coming from a normal smartphone without a good DAC.

I love that mechanical volume wheel!
When it comes to the general smartphone specifications, like I said before the London won't be a spec monster, but a decent one. It uses a 4.7 Inch HD IPS screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3, utilizes a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 SoC, Adreno 306 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of expandable internal storage, 8 MP rear camera, 2 MP selfie camera and 2,500 mAh battery.
