Earlier today, Lenovo launched the Vibe X2! It is actually the first layered modular smartphone in the world that's packed with great specs and is priced competitively. The body is so slim and beautiful looking and the Vibe X2 is also powered by JBL speakers for a boosted audio experience.

Checking out Lenovo Vibe X2! ;)
Geeky Pinas is lucky to have a closer look at the Lenovo Vibe X2 right after the event. So here's what we think of it so far...

Build, Style and Display

Front look!
Lenovo Vibe X2 is one of the best looking device we've seen. Lenovo boast the type of build quality this phone has and they seem to have the right to do so. As I've said earlier it is the first layered smartphone in the world. The phone is built with 3 sections that have different colors. We are also guessing that this modular type of design principle from Lenovo will help increase the repair-ability of the phone. If so that's a great thing!

The side with a clear view of the layers, power button and volume control
Top view: 3.5 mm jack is present!
Below: the micro usb port
At the back: Metal like casing with Lenovo logo, camera and the speaker
(Lenovo also highlighter the JBL speakers of the phone as one of its best feature)
The display is good overall!
Another look at the phone's display
At 5 inches this gorgeous phone looks and feel slimmer compared to others despite having the same screen size. The display and viewing angles is excellent too, that 441 ppi IPS LCD touchscreen have a lot too do with it. So far I'm impressed.

Sample shots

Selfie shot :)
Indoor low-light shot
Outdoor shot
The camera is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front front facing camera for selfie. The shutter speed was decent, however it is not as fast as most flagship handsets from what we've tested so far. Overall the shots taken from the X2 are crisp, vibrant and just right to my taste. It also performed well even at low-light conditions.

Antutu Benchmark

Vibe X2 Antutu scores!
The processor used here is a mix of MeditaTek MT6595m at 2.0 GHz, ARM 4 Cortex-A7 and 4 Cortex A7 cores, I believe that it is the same type of processor that's known to blow away the Antutu benchmark. It scored an amazing 46461 thousand that is just several thousands lower than the Meizu MX4!
