SKK Mobile was one of the biggest surprises last 2014 when it comes to the local mobile scene. Their fan base ballooned and they released innovative plus great spec'ed phones from time to time. Early this 2015, they're continuing that trend with the pending release of the much hyped SKK Lynx.

For those who missed it, SKK Lynx is an octa core powered smartphone that's pegged to be the best spec'ed and most feature packed smartphone under PHP 5K. SKK sent us a demo unit to play with yesterday even before its release and now I'm excited to share with you our initial thoughts with it. :)

The accessories included were pretty standard. You get a free screen protector attached on the phone already, the long USB cable, a 1 A USB adapter and an earbuds with mic. There's also a warranty card and a user manual included inside. At this price point I cannot ask for more.

When it comes to the aesthetics of the phone, I didn't expect that much considering how cheap is this, but the Lynx surprised me a lot. It feels great to hold, has that classy look and a solid build quality! It has a nice metallic frame on the side, matte back finish and decent looking overall feel. The materials used here doesn't feel cheap at all. This device should last for a good while when taken care properly and might survive a lot of falls. It is still advisable on any phone to get a case to make sure that your money won't go to waste.

| Over 27K for a sub 5K phone! |
It's a capable entry-midrange handset hiding on a body of a price of an entry level budget phone. This is currently my favorite device under PHP 5K! It has a premium looking aesthetics, decent HD display and great rear and front camera especially for the price. I'm experiencing no lag at all, no bloatwares, I also love the double tap to wake feature and some gestures included in it. To put icing on top if it it was able to score over 27k on Antutu benchmark on first try. SKK Mobile did a very good job with it that could change the perception of the general public when it comes to getting a low budget phone.
Note: Will update this post as soon as I get the official pricing. I'm guessing that most of us will surely love it!
