It's now official, GrabBike is now temporarily stopping its services as yesterday, February 4.

Grab has been ordered by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (or LTFRB) to stop its operations or else "Grabcar can face cancellation of its TNC accreditation." which is way worse for their business.

LTFRB's official statement regarding the operations of GrabBike:

“Be reminded that aside from safety issues, bikes and motorcycles are neither authorized by the Board nor by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) to be offered to the public as mode of public transportation”, as said in the above letter ot Atty. Glenn Zaragoza.

Here is Grab's Official statement regarding this matter:
GrabBike will temporarily be stopping operations effective today, February 4, 2016.We stand firmly on our belief that we have created an innovative solution to the country’s transportation problem and we are working towards finding a way to continue providing it to the community. We’re hopeful that the authorities will reach a positive decision regarding the possible regulations to the service.
We’ve done this before with the support of our loyal Grabbers and we hope to be able to do it again with GrabBike. ‪#‎LegallyGrab‬ ‪#‎GrabPH‬

What do you think of this move by LTFRB? Do you agree that they should stop GrabBike now? Especially that there is big traffic problem in Metro Manila. Let us know in the comments below.
