Like what I said earlier, both handsets are extremely powerful for the price. Both handsets also has that fingerprint sensor, LTE connectivity, almost the same storage and RAM.

Display - The screen size as the Honor 7 is using a smaller screen at 5.2 inches yet denser at 423 ppi, however the MX5 even at just 401 ppi and a bigger screen size uses an AMOLED display wherein there's a lot of people who wants better saturated screen and blacker blacks will prefer.

Processor - The Meizu MX5 uses the new and highly touted Helio X10 by Mediatek clocked at 2.2 GHz, while the Honor 7 uses a 2.2 GHz 64 Bit Kirin 935. I'll give the edge here to the Helio X10 that can score over 60K via Antutu even if some may say that the X10 could not be as stable as the Kirin 935 (45K+ on Antutu).

Gaming - Meizu MX5 might have an advantage here as the PowerVR G6200 is a tad more powerful than the Mali T628. See this article for my reference: Click Here!

Camera - As far as I'm concerned Meizu and Honor / Huawei are two of my favorite Chinese camera software. Both has tons of options and can really do wonders to maximize the sensors. 20 MP IMX 230 for the Honor 7 and 20.7 MP Sony IMX 220 for the MX5. Honor 7 also uses a higher pixel camera on its front at 8 MP vs 5 MP.

OS - FlyMe OS vs EMUI, I like them both and it really depends on the user. Some may prefer the simplicity yet powerful EMUI while some might like the versatility of the Flyme OS.

Overall - As of the moment, I cannot really choose between the two of them. It's a tough tough tough fight that could go either way. I like both devices and they seem to be almost equally powerful and feature packed on paper. It really depends on the user this time and how they plan to use the unit. I'll advise that if you want a smaller screen, go for the Honor 7, but if you want a bigger screen go for the Meizu MX5.
