This April 28, aside from the much awaited Redmi 2, Lazada will be putting the older but still very capable Redmi 1S on sale for just PHP 4,999! That makes the Redmi 1S 1000 pesos cheaper than the newer Redmi 2.

At this price point there are very few smartphones that has this good screen, camera and gaming capability. That makes the Redmi 1S still a decent buy if you are really don't have that extra 1,000 pesos to get the newer Redmi 2.
