Fiba World Cup ended today with the victory of team USA. This has been one of their most dominant team ever averaging a win of 32.15 pts per game. In the championship game between the winningest teams in the history of FIBA World Championship, it was perceived that the former 5x Champ Serbia would present even a slight challenge to the super team of USA. However the results are still the same, Team USA crushed Serbia just like any other team with the final score of 129-92 to be come the 2014 FIBA World Cup Champion.

For Serbia, there's nothing to be ashamed of. No team in that tournament could touch team USA. Spain was an early favorite to be the toughest match for the Americans, but they failed to to advance as France salvage them with a HUGE upset. By the way as much as I would love Gilas Pilipinas to play a game with them with all heart, the result could have been another easy win for Team USA. (Though I believe that Gilas will never let team USA to win by a large margin)
The tournament has been very memorable - there were a lot of dramas, celebrations, tears and excitement. It was a very successful tournament held by FIBA. As a Filipino, I would love to see that event happen in our country. Hopefully, the bid made by Mr. MVP Manny Pangilinan to host the event in 2019 would be a reality.
