Don’t we love portable gadgets and devices that we can carry anywhere? Maybe going on trips, meetings, other places and then we want to hear music anytime, anywhere. Here we are on an era of evolving technology and portability, where we can carry miniature devices that are once impossible to carry or place to pockets or attached into bags, we would like to introduce a very compact, light and can clip on to your straps, hence, the JBL Clip+. This one is an upgrade from the previous JBL Clip.

What’s inside the box?
JBL Clip+ Speaker

The JBL Clip+ package contains the following:
  • 1 x JBL Clip+ speaker
  • 1 x USB cable
  • User Manual & Instructions materials

Build & Design
The JBL Clip+ is available in a number of colors which includes black, blue, gray, orange, red, green yellow and pink (above). It features a circular design with a carabiner on top (in which you can clip the speaker) which is surrounded by a rubberized grip. The carabiner can almost fit any straps you can attach it into. The JBL Clip measure 4.2 by 3.5 by 1.7 inches, and weighs 150g only (pretty light weight portable speaker!). The speaker is almost a palm size which is easy to hold.

Front & Back of the JBL Clip+

The outer surface of the JBL Clip+ is rubberized and splash-proof, it can also be cleaned under running water (but don’t dip it underwater like in a tub, pool, etc.). The back has the 3.5mm jack clipped on it so the wires won’t tangle or mess around.

Along the outer panel are the controls for the Volume Up and Down, Answer / End button for speakerphone, power button and Bluetooth pairing button are located. Also the Phone button doubles as a Play/Pause control, if you tap it multiple times, you can navigate through your music tracks.

The other side of the speaker has the USB port for charging and jack port for daisy chaining multiple speakers into the device. One thing we can comment about the rubberized body is that it can attract dirt and cleaning it will be quite a challenge.

Sound Quality
In the speakers we conduct, the JBL Clip+ is a good portable speaker for travelling. You can either connect via 3.5mm jack or via Bluetooth. The speaker’s volume is really high and loud that you can hear around the house or even outdoors for a palm sized speaker. The vocals and bass sounds decent as well, but don’t expect a lower bass sound. Overall it delivers good performance in sound quality overall.
