Looking for a portable amplifier for your headphone? Kickstarter just got a new interesting product there called the UAMP. The UAMP actually reminds me of my old FiiO E6, but this one has more functions, could be a lot louder and better sounding the that old amp.

The goal of UAMP is to provide the best possible sound quality on an affordable and an ultra portable device. It is said that it can provide amazing clarity and nuanced soud of high end audio equipment. It is said in their email sent to me that this device uses a high end audio chip to power this mini amplifier. (Any guesses?) It is also said that the UAM can provide premium high fidelity sound quality for your headphones.

It has a lot of uses!
Aside from that this AMP also has some interesting EQ presets you can choose from:

"Uamp is designed with EQ in order for you to customise your audio and find the sound that suits you best. EQ, or equalizer, allows you to adjust the levels of frequency bands such as bass and treble in your audio." - UAMP Kickstarter Page

Bass = RED
Bass + Treble = BLUE
Streaming EQ* = ORANGE
NO EQ = GREEN
Custom EQ = PURPLE (Yes, you can set your own EQ!)

*Streaming EQ is designed to specifically to enhance the sound of music streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, Youtube, iTunes Radio, iHearts Radio and many more.

In general the UAMP seems to be a very promising device. It could be used on your smartphones, laptops, tablets and even your car audio and Hi-Fi Systems! You can also choose the EQ of your choice and even customize. That's unheard of with other tiny amps like this before.

What are your thoughts about this cool looking device?
