Samsung appears to be getting ready to release the successor to one of its best selling smartphone, the Galaxy Grand 2. Expected to be called Galaxy Grand 3, the handset sports a 5.25-inch 720p display and is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The handset has just been approved by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.

The Galaxy Grand also features 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), 13MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. It's thinner and lighter at 146 x 74.8 x 7.95mm and 140 grams, respectively. (The Grand 2 measures 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9mm and weighs 163 grams)

The handset will be available in white, black and other colors (still unspecified as of writing). Launch date, availability and pricing is still unknown but we'll definitely keep you posted!
