After almost 3 years, Cherry Mobile teamed up again with Windows, remember way back 2011 when Cherry Mobile introduced the Eclipse and Eclipse 2, the first local phone powered by Windows Mobile 6.5. Now Cherry Mobile finally introduced the new line of Windows Phone and Windows Tablet called the "Alpha" series which includes Alpha Style at Php 2,999, Alpha Luxe at Php 4,999, Alpha Play at Php 7,999 and Alpha Morph for Php 11,999.

Design
Cherry Mobile Alpha Style has a glossy back finish which is prone to fingerprint. Despite of its price of Php 3,000, Cherry Mobile Alpha Style doesn't feel so cheap. It has a solid build and also a simple design.
At the back is where the 5MP fixed focus camera and LED flash located, together with the Cherry Mobile and Windows Phone logo.
The power button is located at the left side of the device.
While the volume rocker can be found at the left side of the device.

Display
Cherry Mobile Alpha Style has a 4-inch IPS WVGA display. It has a good viewing angle compared to other devices with IPS display on the same price range. It has a good color production and has a good visibility in a bright surroundings.
Performance
Cherry Mobile Alpha Style uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 msm8212 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and Adreno 302 for its GPU. Windows devices like Lumia and Micromax A121 and W092 got 8212 inside, so expect a good performance.
What's good with Windows powered phones is that even though they only have a 512MB of ram it still manage to run everything smoothly. That is why having only a 512MB of RAM on Alpha Style is not a hindrance on its performance.
Base on some benchmark test I've done Cherry Mobile Alpha Style can compete in terms of the performance with some of the high-end Windows phones like Lumia 1020.
Camera
Cherry Mobile Alpha Style is equipped with Fixed focus main camera and a VGA front camera. With this setup we won't expect to much, but as to my surprise the shot taken using the Fixed focus main camera of the Alpha style is not that bad at all. It may be lacking of focus but the details are good enough to capture those memorable scenes of your life.
Battery
Cherry Mobile Alpha Style has a 1500mAh battery capacity, even though the battery capacity seems to be a little bit short compared to it's bigger brother Luxe, Alpha style manage to last for a day with WiFi connected the whole day.
Verdict
For the price of Php 2,999, I can say that Alpha Style is worth the price. With its hardware configuration Style is a good starter for first time Windows Phone user, rather than buying an expensive one with the same configuration.
